My clients software technology addresses the evolution of the service layer through Next Generation IN and 3G to IMS, replacing legacy proprietary IN systems with a modern, open, layered software architecture.
Reporting to the VP Professional Services, the individual will be responsible for delivering professional services contracted by my clients customers, including requirements analysis, solution architecture, project management, installation, configuration, training, support and testing.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for scoping, planning and delivering expert professional services to telecommunications operators and channel partners (system integrators, application vendors, and network equipment providers)
* Work with channel partners or other experts to analyse clients' requirements and propose solutions
* Install, configure the company's products at client sites, and support deployment, integration and testing activities.
* Carry out Inter-Operability Testing with other network equipment, conduct demonstrations and trials on client site.
* Deliver training to channel partners and operator staff in company products, using company standard training material.
* Provide technical support for clients and respond to technical queries.
* Support presales staff and channel partners in project definition and preparation of proposals. * Represent the company in presentations, client meetings, workshops.
* Contribute across the business in all functional disciplines as required to achieve company objectives.
* Work within established guidelines to ensure that profitability objectives are met and project milestones are achieved on time.
Skills and Experience Required:
* The individual must have experience working with (and a good technical understanding of) :
- existing and next generation telecommunications networks (fixed&mobile, voice&data, messaging, IP, IMS),
- SS7 signaling protocols (INAP, CAP, MAP),
- Signaling protocols used in IMS (SIP)
* A good understanding of
- application servers (J2EE, JAIN SLEE), and
- the telecommunications service layer (prepaid, VPN, other IN-type services, data and VAS, next generation services)
will be an advantage
* Very comfortable analyzing highly complex requirements and problems in telecommunications networks.
* 5 years+ experience in technical consulting and/or systems integration, including a track record of success in delivering projects and services to the telecommunications industry. |
