  Details Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Team Leader/Manager to drive forward the testing department of this fantastic, market leading, award winning company. My client is looking for a highly knowledgeable and competent Quality Assurance Lead who will lead a team of Softare Test Engineers to ensure the delivery of high quality software products to a broad range of devices.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead QA team of Software Test Engineers to ensure the delivery of high quality software products (both API's and end-user products) to a broad range of devices;
* Involved in the entire software development process to ensure the quality of the final products. This includes requirements gathering and documentation, test tool selection, change management, configuration management and the actual testing of the software products;
* Work closely with the QA team to assist with the preparation of test plans to company guidelines and standards
* Work closely with the QA team to assist in the testing of software products to company guidelines and standards;
* Evaluate, maintain and improve standard QA process and methodology;
* Manage QA team compliance with existing company procedures for reporting test effort, results and status at both the engineering and the executive level;
* Responsible for QA team training, mentoring and development;
* Manage an extended global team of external testers to meet test objectives;
* Act as the single point of contact/escalation for all testing issues;

Required Skills & Attributes
* Degree in Computer Science or a numerate discipline which involved a strong element of Computer Science;
* A highly experienced QA team lead with a career which began as a Software Engineer (Developer) or a Software Test Engineer;
* In-depth testing experience of both software end-user products and application programmable interfaces (API's);
* Ability to work to agreed deadlines and to deliver on time;
* Experience of coordinating multiple parties to complete a task;
* Good man-management skills;
* Strong communicator, both orally and written;
* Highly pro-active and can-do attitude;
* Wide technical knowledge covering a variety of platforms, languages, systems and industries

Desirable Skills & Attributes
* In-depth experience of HP Quality Centre test environment;
* In-depth experience of JIRA defect management tool;
* Have worked within an Agile software development methodology;
* Ability to understand and add quality to a wide variety of problem domains, from end-user software products through to API's and physical system implementations;
* Relevant experience in mobile, consumer electronics and PC software products;
