JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the General Manager, EMEA, the Sales Director will be responsible for developing and closing strategic and valuable business at mobile and broadband operator, ISP and ASPs, and large scale enterprise and government opportunities. Using personal contacts, leads generated via company marketing activities, and target account selling, the optimum candidate will initiate business opportunities with large and strategic accounts in Southern Europe. The candidate will manage those opportunities in a highly professional manner. The candidate will develop strong relationships with accounts, enabling continued revenue and strong reference-ability. The candidate will demonstrate proficiency at this job by meeting and exceed sales goals. The measures of success are sales performance and long term customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of seven years experience selling Enterprise Infrastructure Systems and/or eMail Software to large enterprise and/or ISP customers.
* Good/strong technical skills (although not at Sales Engineering level). The Sales Director must be able to participate in meetings containing preliminary technical discussions without Sales Engineering assistance, since in many cases the first face to face meetings with a new account will require this ability.
* Direct and indirect sales experience. Demonstrated success working with VARs, ASPs and SIs.
* Strong strategic selling experience and proven ability to drive new business.
* Adept in managing many opportunities simultaneously.
* Ability to articulate and evangelize the vision and positioning of both the company and products, and secure long-term commitments.
* Executive level contacts and specific experience with large and strategic accounts in territory.
* Ability to overachieve while being remote.
* Exposed to extensive sales training.
* Skilled in thinking strategically and tactically.
* Ability to compose complex proposals and accurate forecasts.
* Strong understanding of the Enterprise Messaging Industry.
* Fantastic relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience and presentation skills.
* Experience, credibility, and presence that enables you to work effectively at all levels within very large and complex organizations.
* Ability to take deal from prospecting to close, including complex legal negotiations
